Screen Accurate Henry Roth 50 First Dates Hawaiian Shirt

Inspired by Adam Sandler in 50 First Dates (2004).

Built around a two-colour hibiscus on green: large white blooms shaded in soft grey-violet, with bamboo stems and leaves drawn in the same line running diagonally between them. The palette stops at three tones, so the print stays open and easy on the eye even at this scale. Printed edge to edge — the pattern runs across the collar, the sleeves and the back.

The one you wear when nothing about the day needs to be difficult.

Cut from a lightweight 95% polyester / 5% spandex weave with an open Cuban collar, short sleeves and a relaxed body. Dye-sublimated so the print sits in the fibre rather than on top of it — no surface texture, no cracking. Finished with a straight hem, a chest pocket and off-white buttons. A small TropiScene mark hidden in the artwork.
