Screen Accurate CLIFF BOOTH Bonsai Vista Hawaiian Shirt

Inspired by Brad Pitt in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019).

Built around an Asian landscape print rather than a tropical one: twisted pines, rock outcrops rising out of water and small red-roofed pavilions, all worked in blue ink washes across a marigold ground. Bands of white cloud break the scenes apart and keep large areas of the yellow open, so the print stays light despite the detail. Printed edge to edge — the pattern runs across the collar, the sleeves and the back.

A late-sixties shirt in the truest sense — the era when this print was everywhere and nobody thought twice about it.

Cut from a lightweight 95% polyester / 5% spandex weave with an open Cuban collar, short sleeves and a relaxed body. Dye-sublimated so the print sits in the fibre rather than on top of it — no surface texture, no cracking. Finished with a straight hem, a clean chest and off-white buttons. A small TropiScene mark hidden in the artwork.
