Screen Accurate DR. GONZO Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas Hawaiian Shirt

Inspired by the shirt worn by Dr. Gonzo in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998).

Built around a bold-line surf repeat on red: yellow boards striped in dark brown, cobalt hibiscus, white breaking waves and long chains of lei flowers winding through the whole surface. The motifs run large and the linework stays heavy, so the print holds its shape at a distance instead of dissolving into colour. Printed edge to edge — the pattern runs across the collar, the sleeves and the back.

The other half of the desert run — worn behind the wheel while the yellow one rode shotgun.

Cut from a lightweight 95% polyester / 5% spandex weave with an open Cuban collar, short sleeves and a relaxed body. Dye-sublimated so the print sits in the fibre rather than on top of it — no surface texture, no cracking. Finished with a straight hem, a clean chest and off-white buttons. Finished with a small TropiScene mark hidden in the artwork.
