Screen Accurate ROBIN WILLIAMS Hawaiian Shirt

Built around a pair of oversized birds crossing the body on black: rust-and-orange plumage banded in dark brown, wings layered in marigold and worked in fine linework. Coral hibiscus opens around them, with green palm leaves and broad yellow fronds fanning out behind. The black ground carries the whole thing — it separates the orange from the yellow at every edge, which is the only reason a print this hot stays readable.

Late-eighties tropical, drawn rather than photographed, and loud in the way that era meant it.

Cut from a lightweight 95% polyester / 5% spandex weave with an open Cuban collar, short sleeves and a relaxed body. Dye-sublimated so the print sits in the fibre rather than on top of it — no surface texture, no cracking. Finished with a straight hem, a clean chest and off-white buttons. A small TropiScene mark hidden in the artwork.
