Screen Accurate CLARENCE WORLEY True Romance Hawaiian Shirt

Inspired by the shirt worn by Christian Slater in True Romance (1993).

Built around a classic scenic repeat on a coral-red ground: small islands worked in black and blue palms, turquoise rock and surf, striped boards and yellow-roofed huts, all sitting on a bed of fine white linework standing in for the water. The motifs stay small and repeat densely, so from a distance it reads as texture and only resolves into scenes up close. Printed edge to edge — the pattern runs across the collar, the sleeves and the back.

The shirt does most of the talking, which is the point — Clarence wore it like he had never once considered whether it was too much.

Cut from a lightweight 95% polyester / 5% spandex weave with an open Cuban collar, short sleeves and a relaxed body. Dye-sublimated so the print sits in the fibre rather than on top of it — no surface texture, no cracking. Finished with a straight hem, a clean chest and off-white buttons. Finished with a small TropiScene mark hidden in the artwork.
